CADILLAC’S NEW FLAGSHIP by Jim Corbran, Automotive Columnist Even though I’m more of a fan of small cars, I kind of like this new Cadillac CT6, which will hit showrooms for the 2016 model year. The CT6 will be Cadillac’s entry into the “prestige luxury” segment. We can take this to mean that the folks at Cadillac no longer consider Lincoln to be their competition (actually, right now nobody worries too much about Lincoln as a competitor), but rather they’ve set their sites on what we’ll refer to as “The German Big Three:” Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. How have I come to this conclusion? Let Cadillac explain: “(The CT6) is one of the world’s lightest and most agile full-size luxury performance sedans, with dimensions and spaciousness on par with BMW’s short-wheelbase 7-Series, but the approximate weight, agility and efficiency of the smaller Cadillac CTS – which is lighter than a BMW 5-Series. The CT6 is lighter than the BMW 5-Series, 6-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.” Powered by an all-new 3.0L Twin Turbo engine, rated at an estimated 400 hp, the CT6 should walk the walk. Add in all-wheel drive and an advanced performance chassis, and you might just have the combination to make those German car buyers do a little shopping around. And even though its styling falls far short of the promise of the Elmiraj show car of a couple of years ago, it ain’t exactly chopped liver. Can’t wait to get behind the wheel sometime next year. more info at: http://www.cadillac.com/future-vehicles/ct6-sedan.html ### The post CADILLAC’S NEW FLAGSHIP appeared first on Buffalo Cars.
