Day 4 of Oldsmobile week…
Every once in a while we find a car older than the RealRides staff. Today we present a car probably older than most RealRides readers… a 1930 Oldsmobile Special Coupe. This particular example, seen a few summers ago in Kenmore, doesn’t exactly look like it did when it left the Lansing factory more than 80 years ago. I don’t imagine there were many hot pink cars on the roads at all back then, and if there were, I’ll bet none of them had contrasting neon blue rims & graphics. Olds advertised this particular model as being “…admirably suited to serve as a personal car. For shopping trips to the down town section, for the needs of active professional and business men, (and) for use where unusually generous carrying space is required.” I think they have most of the bases covered here!
