This 1980 Pontiac Bonneville is all that and a bag of chips — padded top, whitewalls, fake wire-wheel covers, fender skirts, stand-up hood ornament, plush interior, and chrome — lots of chrome. This was GM’s (and much of the American car-buying public’s) idea of a fancy-schmancy car. And it was. We found this remarkably well-preserved one a few weeks ago in North Tonawanda. A good number of these things are rusted hulks with warped/missing bits of plastic trim. Kudos to the owner.
