RealRides of WNY #2462 ......................... 1950 Chrysler Windsor

AMHERST, N.Y. – When this 1950 Chrysler Windsor was new, it featured a “…spacious rear window made in three pieces of curved glass.” The front windshield also came pieced together (in two pieces), but Chrysler copywriters didn’t seem interested in bragging about it. Below we can see how the rear window progressed, from the much smaller 1949 one-piece, to the ’50 three-piece, the ’51 three-piece wraparound, and finally to the 1954 one-piece wraparound. We came across today’s RealRide at the 2014 Antique Automobile Club of America Car Show at the North Campus of the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB).
