CAMBRIA, N.Y. – When this 1951 Ford F-1 was new, truck manufacturers were getting wise to the fact that if they offered more features, people might buy more of their trucks. Thus began the saga of the not-so-small rear window. Check out the difference below between the ’50 & ’51 F-1 trucks. A few years later, Ford really changed things up for MY 1956 with a full wraparound windshield and an optional full-wrap rear window which, when combined offered an almost unobstructed 360° view out of the cab (bottom of page). Other manufacturers in the mid-1950s offered a mix of small, large, and divided rear cab windows, depending on the model chosen.
