NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. – If you’re ever wondering if the car you’re looking at is a 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline De Luxe like this one, or if it’s a Fleetline Special, just check the window surrounds. The De Luxe has bright moldings around both the front and rear windscreens, as well as a band of trim which wraps up and over the side windows. The Special has black rubber surrounding both the windshield and the rear window, while there is no side window trim at all, as you can see on the example below. Today’s RealRide was seen last spring parked alongside the Pre-1964 Hot Rods/Customs Swap Meet.
