RealRides of WNY #2479 (on the road)....... Fiat 500L

ROME, Italy
– Area resident Alan Bedenko and his family found themselves (lucky for them!) out of the country over the recent holiday break, and while gallivanting around the the Eternal City they came across this vintage Fiat 500L parked in front of La Casa del Caffé al Pantheon. Just a two-minute walk from the world-famous ancient temple (and current Catholic church) which opened in 125 AD, the caffé seems like a relative newborn, having been founded in 1944. The Fiat of course, is almost as famous as the Pantheon (maybe even more so in certain circles). It was in production from 1957 to 1975, and it replaced the pre/post-war Italian peoples’ car, if you will, the first Fiat 500 which is lovingly known as the Topolino, which loosely translates to little mouse (inset).

(We’re also including Alan’s original un-cropped photo to show the entire, beautiful backdrop.)
