TONAWANDA, N.Y. – It’s not often you come across a 1955 Ford Thunderbird in a random parking lot. Cruise nights? Yes. Car Shows? Yes. But we saw this one over the summer while bicycling along the Shoreline Trail which parallels the Niagara River. As you can see, it’s wearing a Florida antique license plate. I’m imagining the owner driving it here from down south, and the many thumbs-up they must have gotten along the way. At least, I hope so. Hate to think it was trailered up here. I’m not usually a fan of modern wheels on vintage cars, but I think in this case it works.
