ELMA, N.Y. – Earlier this month we featured a cousin to this 1947 Dodge Custom club coupe, (’47 DeSoto business coupe). Unlike that RealRide, this Dodge actually has a back seat and rear quarter windows. For MY 1947 Dodge offered two more two-door models other than this club coupe: a three-window business coupe and a sedan. (See the other two below.) The Dodge sat below the DeSoto in Chrysler Corporation’s sales hierarchy, which read (from least-to-most expensive):
- Plymouth
- Dodge
- DeSoto
- Chrysler
- Crown Imperial (still technically a Chrysler model in 1947)
Today’s feature car was seen at last year’s Lake Erie Region Antique Automobile Club of America Car Show which was held at the Elma Village Green Park.
