DEPEW, N.Y. – This 1988 Suzuki Samurai hearkens back to a time when an SUV didn’t have to be the biggest vehicle in the shopping center parking lot. Back to a time when some of them were actually used for off-roading, and when you got home it would fit in your two-car garage and still leave room for a second car. The Samurai is not the same as the somewhat larger (but still compact) Sidekick, which was also sold in North America as the Geo/Chevrolet Tracker, nor is it the same as the smaller Jimny, which is still in production and available in Mexico. See examples of both below. Today’s RealRide was seen last summer at the annual car & bike show at Depew High School.
