
OLCOTT, N.Y. – This 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer is sporting what Dodge called its “…dramatic, new, three-tone exterior styling.” I imagine it made the box for “color of vehicle” on many states’ car registrations rather crowded. Maybe they just used whichever color was more prominent. You can tell that today’s RealRide is a Royal Lancer and not a Custom Royal Lancer by the absence of the modest chrome fins which can be seen atop the rear fenders of the Custom Royal Lancer brochure illustration below. We saw this nice tri-tone at the 2017 Olcott Beach Car Show.
