PEMBROKE, N.Y. – Flint’s paint names weren’t over-fancified when this 1978 Buick Regal Limited was new. It’s White… with no qualifiers. Other colors were Silver, Black, Yellow, Light Blue… you get the idea. That vinyl top? Silver. Just keepin’ it simple. Not all manufacturers played along though. Pontiac opted to call their palest color Cameo White, while Chevy went with it Antique White. Not to be outdone, Cadillac, proving that you get what you pay for, offered Cotillion White. A quick internet search showed that yes, they were all the same paint code. And what was Silver on a Buick was Platinum on a Cadillac while Buick’s Gray was Cadillac’s Pewter. Today’s RealRide was seen at last summer’s Kiwanis Fall Festival Car Show.
