HAMBURG, N.Y. – A sign next to this customized 1957 Chevy in the Old School Room at this year’s Cavalcade of Cars seems to indicate that it’s one which made the rounds of car shows 60 years ago, called the Stiletto. Featured on the cover of the April 1963 issue of Car Craft magazine, the Chevy was built back in the 1960s by Williamsville’s Ron Gerstner, and was owned by Tonawanda’s Don Pritchard, who is seen above with the car in a vintage magazine photo. The Stiletto? That was a totally different car (in more ways than one — see the photo at the bottom of the page) which was also built by Ron Gerstner. The ’57 doesn’t seem to have a name, but we found a Facebook page for Spritz by Fritz, a custom car shop located in Missouri, offering the car for sale this past February.
