NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. – This 1957 Cadillac Sixty-Two seems to have been around a bit. The back is sporting a 1957 New York tag, while the front wears both a California Marilyn Monroe tribute plate and a “Florida Land of Sunshine” plate topper. Cadillac called the Sixty-Two convertible “…a masterpiece of Cadillac styling and design.” But it wasn’t their only drop-top. The pricier Eldorado Biarritz (below), again, according to Cadillac, “…[had] no counterpart on the world’s highways.” Not surprisingly, the less-expensive Sixty-Two convertible ($5,293) outsold the Biarritz ($7,286) 9,000 to 1,800. We saw today’s RealRide at a July 2021 weekly cruise night at the Wurlitzer Building.
