FREDONIA, N.Y. – It’s not unusual to see a 1963 Chevrolet Impala some sixty years after it left the showroom. After all, Chevy produced about 889,600 of them. Along with a few hundred-thousand Biscaynes, Bel Airs, and Impala Super Sports. What is unusual though is to see a (pretty much) intact Impala four-door sedan from that era just sitting in the parking lot of a local garage. On the car show/cruise night schedule it seems like only the hardtops and convertibles survived. Yes, this one’s wearing some aftermarket wheels, but other than that it looks like something I might have seen in a neighbor’s driveway while delivering papers back in the day.
