LEWISTON, N.Y. – To put it politely, the color palette offered when this 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline DeLuxe was new was rather muted. Maybe calming is a better word. If you can believe it in this day and age, white wasn’t even one of the choices! For some reason the truck color chart looks like a veritable rainbow when compared to passenger cars’ choices (+black) which are seen below. The old school paint job on today’s RealRide really made it stand out from the crowd at last summer’s Bella Rose Vineyard Car Show. Especially if you compare it to the base model Fleetline illustration from the brochure seen here in the inset, which is painted in that green shade — Crystal (Ice) Green according to Chevy — which so many early ‘50s cars seemed to be.
