RealRides of WNY #2558 ......................... 1970 Chevrolet Impala

AKRON, N.Y.
– Today it’s another case of “Where are they all now?” This 1970 Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe is one of over 612,000 Impalas produced that year, but it seems pretty rare to see one these days. This one, according to the fender badge, has one of four different 350cid V8 engines available in different models of the 1970 Chevy lineup. It also has a vinyl top and Rally Wheels. A close look will reveal a couple of license plate frames from Kenneth Chevrolet, a now defunct dealership in Hawthorne, California. Not only is the dealership no longer around, the intersection of 121st Street and Hawthorne Boulevard is also gone according to Google maps. The site seems to be home to a large plaza now. You can see 120th and 122nd Streets on the map, but 121st Street seems to have been sacrificed to the developers.
