RealRides of WNY #2559 ......................... 1964 Chevrolet C10

YOUNGSTOWN, N.Y. - When this 1964 Chevrolet C10 Stepside was new, Detroit’s pickup manufacturers were just starting to realize that, “Hey, a pickup could be your second car!” and they were offering such niceties as two-tone paint jobs and extra exterior chrome trim bits. Chevy also featured the Custom Cab option, which added a “full-depth foam cushion” seat, nylon-trimmed fabric, driver’s armrest (“sorry passenger, no armrest for you!”), right door lock, chrome-trimmed control knobs, cigarette lighter, passenger’s sunshade (“we didn’t totally forget about you!”), horn ring, and white trim on doors and trim plate for dispatch box. If you’re wondering what a dispatch box is, we feel your pain! No amount of research turned up an answer.
