ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – “Olds presents the most dramatic head-on view on the road!” is how the brochure writers introduced this 1958 Oldsmobile Super 88. But the ’58 Oldses weren’t all about the chrome… there was also the anodized aluminum! Lol. “OLDSmobility,” again according to the brochure, “gives a fleet, mobile appearance even at a standstill.” Looks aside, some of the other features Olds touted for the ‘58s were its “Pivot-Poise Front Suspension… Counter-Dive… Rocket Engine… and De Luxe Safety-Vee Steering Wheel.” We saw this one at last years Orphans Car Show.
