WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – When this 1965 Ford Mustang was parking behind me during last summer’s Western New York Cadillac LaSalle Owners Club car show, I was stuck by its color. It’s certainly not something you see very often these days — it looks to me like Ford’s Twilight Turquoise. From what we can see on the outside, this one’s also got the optional styled steel wheels ($122.30 extra), whitewall tires ($33.90), and one of the three 289cid V8s which were offered that year ($108, $162, and $442.60 depending on the hp rating, which were 200, 225, and 271 respectively). A seldom-seen accessory dresses up the rear in the form of a Deluxe Gas Door Guard which surrounds the prancing pony gas cap. We found one today online at johnsmustang.com for $49.95.
