
MEDINA, N.Y. – I’m beginning to think that Packard sold more Clipper taillights in the mid-1950s than they sold cars. Here's yet another pair adorning the rear end of this 1955 Chrysler Windsor. Approaching it from behind I never would have guessed it was a Chrysler. They (’55 Chryslers) had some pretty impressive taillights themselves (see below, top pic) but IMO they weren’t nearly as elegant as the Clipper’s. Come to think of it, I don’t ever remember seeing a customized car wearing a pair of ’55 Chrysler rear lamps. The 1957 model’s taillights? Definitely! (below, bottom pic)
