BUFFALO, N.Y. – You don’t see a lot of American Motors cars at cruise nights/car shows these days, and if you do it seems like a lot of them are Javelins or AMXes. But still, every once in a while… A case in point is this 1965 Rambler Classic 660, seen back in 2021 at a Good Neighbors cruise night in South Buffalo. The 660 was the middle of the Classic lineup for 1965, in between (get ready for it) the 550 and the 770. This was the final year for the 660 — surprisingly, as the 660 four-door sedan was Rambler’s top-selling car for 1965 — as next year the top of the Classic lineup would be the new (again) Rebel, in two-door hardtop form only.
