You see a lot of classic Cadillacs at car shows/cruise nights, but I don’t recall seeing many of them from this era: today’s RealRide is a 1972 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, which to me stood out at this year’s WNY Cadillac-LaSalle Club Car Show held at Cappellino Cadillac in Williamsville. Maybe the fact that I bought my first car in 1972 has something to do with the attraction. (No, it wasn’t a Cadillac. A 1967 Sunbeam Imp is about as far away from a Cadillac as one can get.) Cadillac called the ’72 Coupe de Ville “…luxury with the youthful touch.” I might have been youthful in the summer of ’72, but that $2.10 per hour job I had didn’t elevate me into Cadillac country!
