I’m sure a few of you will agree with me when I say it seems appropriate for this matte black 1968 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special to be parked in front of a tattoo parlor. Doesn’t matter if it’s owned by a customer or one of the people working inside, it just seems right. The Sixty Special was one of two ’68 Cadillacs with an extra long 133-inch wheelbase (the other being the Fleetwood Brougham); the lesser de Ville and Calais models had to do with a very peon-ish 129.5. But these two Fleetwoods weren’t even the longest Cadillacs. That honor went to the Fleetwood Seventy-Five with its parking lot-unfriendly 149.8-inch span. Just how big was the Sixty Special? Cadillac described it as “impressive” and “majestic,” while telling us it posessed “spacious dignity.” We saw this one earlier this summer in Chippawa, Ontario.
