The 1953 Ford Mainline Tudor sat at the bottom of the Dearborn manufacturer’s model lineup that year. As you can see from the photos, it didn’t even get bright moldings around the front and rear windscreens, instead opting for plain black rubber. It isn’t quite as stark looking on a black car like today’s RealRide, but check out the brochure illustration below and see how those black window surrounds stand out on a lighter colored car. Also notice how a set of whitewall tires can really make an inexpensive car look a little more upscale. We saw this one a few weeks ago at the 40thAnnual Last Chance Car Show & Swap Meet in Welland, Ontario.
