RealRides of WNY #2419 ......................... 1966 Buick Wildcat

I wonder if anyone in Flint foresaw a 1966 Buick Wildcat four-door hardtop in the lineup when the nameplate debuted halfway through the 1962 model year. The Wildcat was Buick’s answer to Pontiac’s Grand Prix, a sportier version of its entry-level two-door hardtop — in Pontiac’s case, the Catalina and in Buick’s the Invicta. The Wildcat grew into a series, adding a convertible and the four-door hardtop, for MY 1963, in addition to a four-door sedan for 1964. The final Wildcats were the 1970 models, replaced for 1971 by the Centurion lineup. We saw this one last month at the Rodmasters Car Club Fall Swap Meet & Car Show in Ancaster, Ontario.
