HAMBURG, N.Y. - According to a sign in the window of this 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351, it had just 30,805 miles on the odometer back when we saw it in August of 2021 at the All-Fords Show at West-Herr Ford. One brochure called the Boss 351 a “Mustang thing in Boss clothing.” Standard features, besides the 351cid 4-bbl V8 included: "Dual Ram induction package; dual exhausts; 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst Shifter®; front spoiler; competition suspension with staggered rear shocks; high-back buckets, W-I-D-E F60-15 tires; power front disc brakes; dual racing mirrors. And more.” If this wasn’t enough, there was a long list of options available, of course at extra cost! The Boss 351 was one of six 1971 Mustangs available (see below).
