
BRANT, N.Y. – yes, Brant, home (we think — it’s rather vague if it’s in Brant or Farnham — and it doesn’t help that the mailing address is Irving!) of Evangola State Park. The 2022 Tomato Festival Car & Bike Show was held there, and this 1965 Buick Skylark was one of the entries. Skylarks could be had, if you wanted to spend a few more bucks, with an optional bucket seat interior (with “…sumptuous leather-grained vinyl”). If you liked the fresh air in your hair but didn’t want to spend quite as much, Buick also offered a convertible in the Special lineup, with a plainer interior and not so much brightwork on the outside (see the brochure illustration below).
