Some RealRides are a little harder to spot than others, but we’ve never been one to let a few branches get in the way of photographing an interesting old car. This 1953 Buick Super was spotted w-a-y back off the road last winter in Niagara Falls. Judging from the wheels and tires, I’m guessing it’s not usually out in the snow. Buick’s copywriters were at their best describing the Super’s performance: “Its power is outstanding—more spirited, more thrilling, and more economical than ever before, thanks to the sensational performance of Buick’s great new 8.5 to 1 compression V-8 Fireball Engine.” I highly doubt than anyone even inquires about their engine’s compression ratio these days. Or knows what it means.
