RealRides of WNY - 1970 Pontiac GTO

This 1970 Pontiac GTO was built during the heyday of the American Muscle Car. And in case you don’t believe that Pontiac was serious about the GTO’s performance, here’s a passage from the brochure page entitled power train: It starts with an explosion. Up to 10,000 lbs. of force on each of eight beefy pistons. It twists at a crankshaft. Vehemently. Gears are thrown into activity. A wrenching at the driveshaft. Torque. More gears. And into the rear wheels. Amid the turmoil, you are calmly, sedately, under wayThis nice black example stood still long enough for a photo a few years ago in Wheatfield.
