One advantage of having a modern phone with a built-in camera is shots like this — a 1963 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster which was passing by as I waited for a light a few summers ago in Niagara Falls. Technically a convertible with a removable molded fiberglass tonneau cover, which turned the four-seater into a very l-o-n-g two-seater, the Sports Roadster was nonetheless considered a separate model — two cars in one — as Ford told us, with an MSRP of $5,563 (a $651 premium over the convertible). The wire wheels seen here were standard on the Roadster, but a $373.30 option on other models, somewhat lessening that price differential.
