Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always preferred the simpler, non-vinyl-topped versions of cars like this Light Sapphire Blue 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. With the emphasis on front-wheel-drive cars moving to the forefront, Olds started getting creative in their brochure description of the rear-wheel-drive ’87 Cutlass Supreme Coupe — in this case a Light Chestnut Brown example which surprisingly also didn’t feature a vinyl top: “Who would have ever thought… that a kid from Crooked Creek, Colorado, would make it to the top in rodeo. But then, there was always something special about you. You had a style all your own. A way of hanging in there that others could only try and imitate. And try they did… right down to the car you chose. Cutlass Supreme Coupe.” Saw this one a few weeks ago while bicycling through Tonawanda.
