RealRides of WNY (on the road) - Ford Maverick, c1977

Came across this base model Ford Maverick, c1977, last summer while visiting Seattle. Here’s what we know about this car (which, if it is indeed a 1977, would be one of the last Mavericks, as they were replaced in 1978 by the Fairmont):

  • it’s wearing a vintage vehicle license plate on the back, but a regular plate with a totally different number on the front;
  • the c-pillar is sporting a hand-painted Little Brudder inscription;
  • this same car was featured on another blog incorrectly identified as a 1973 (the ’73 models didn’t yet have the huge bumpers seen here);
  • and this one’s been whacked in the left rear — maybe Little Brudder had a parking mishap?

At any rate, you don’t see many of these anymore.
