It’s not often we revisit a RealRide, but over the summer we received an email from Don Paterson in Elmira, who told us he is the new owner of this 1960 Ford Fairlane 500, which we had seen in Sweden, N.Y. back in September, 2016 wearing a for sale sign — you can see the original piece here: https://buffalocars.com/real-rides-of-wny-1002-092216. He came across it online while perusing our archives (which you can also do @ at https://buffalocars.com/category/real-rides-of-wny — they go back to May of 2015). Don tells us that when he bought the car it was running, but needed a wiper motor; he also got the lights working, replaced all the hoses & battery cables, found a stock steering wheel, and really cleaned up the paintjob. You may also notice that it’s been lowered and is wearing non-stock wheels — overall, quite an improvement!
