RealRides of WNY - 1965 Coupe de Ville

Sometimes you’ve really gotta hand it to the marketing department. While researching this 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville I came across a magazine ad headlined “Some people like their sports cars big and luxurious.” The car in the photo is a white de Ville convertible. Sports car? Lol… Here’s some of the sports car criteria mentioned in the ad: “…an automobile with all the action that anyone could ask for… more agile than ever in its handling… holds the road better than many a car that flashes a rally stripe.” They close with a bang: “Try motoring’s richest and most exciting combination of size, comfort, luxury—and action. It’s waiting for you now.” I don’t think there’s anything I can add. Saw this one a few summers ago in Tonawanda(Below are a couple of the available interiors; the bucket seats could be had in one of seven different colors, while the Bronze leather seen at the bottom is one of eleven.)
