This 1956 Ford Fairlane ForDor Victoria was spotted by RealRides reader Howard Goldman in Buffalo, where Black Rock meets Riverside. Okay, it was in Riverside, but you could see Black Rock from the front porch. The Fordor Victoria (four-doors to most of us) was a new entry for MY 1956. The Ford brochure told us it had “All the open-smartness of the famous Victoria, plus the added convenience of four wide-opening doors.” If you don’t already know, or haven’t guessed, Victoria was Ford-speak for the pillarless body style, including the original Crown Victoria (below), a two-door model with a chromed “basket handle” which went over the roof from door handle to door handle.
