Our best guess at what we’re looking at here is a 1947 International K-5. Obviously a fire truck, the livery on the door is too far gone to read, but we can tell you that we spotted it a few summers ago while tooling around Sterling Heights, Michigan (long story). It still looks pretty solid (from here it seems to be a combination of surface rust and faded red paint). While trying to determine this old truck’s identity, we came across a YouTube video of another ’47 K-5 (below) taking its first drive after an engine swap, which was needed after being rescued from a 20-year-old barn stay.
