This big ol’ 1952 Mercury Monterey has “just a few” extras: continental kit, Blue Dot taillight lenses, Lakes pipes (fake?), twin spotlights (fake?), twin antennae, big ol’ Cadillac wheelcovers, twin outside rearview mirrors, curb feelers, and, maybe our favorite — a “Go to Crystal Beach” license plate topper. The fender skirts were likely from the factory. Mercury told us the Custom Coupe had “…the racy feeling of a convertible.” Saw this nice two-toned hardtop back in 2017 at the annual Alden summer car show.
