RealRides of WNY - 1940 GMC

This 1940 GMC pickup shows one of two different front ends offered that year (the other one is at the bottom of the page). Both of course, were shared with the very similar Chevy pickups of the day. I’m scratching my head as to why General Motors still offers the two brands. If they were to drop one or the other, it’s doubtful in my mind that potential buyers would switch over to a Ford, Ram, or import instead. Bankrolling the GMC division must a small fortune. We came across this one back in the summer of 2018 at a cruise night at the Anchor Bar in Amherst.
