Whenever I see an post-shoebox model like this 1953 Ford Mainline, it always stirs up memories of being a ten-year-old and watching one of my best friends and his family driving away in their blue ’54 model, heading off to their new home in another state. I think I stood in the street for half and hour! (I was a sensitive child, Lol) Anyway, this Mainline has the optional 239.4cid engine, and it was the penultimate year for this particular flathead V8 before the introduction of both the 272 and 292 Y-block V8s for MY 1955. Saw this one at the 2017 Annual Car Show in Alden.
