Sticking my head out the door one day a month or so ago to see what the traffic holdup was out front of our City of Tonawanda home, I was confronted by this tiny van waiting its turn in the midst of it all, festooned in the livery of a local sweets service. Research showed that this VW Bus-wannabe started life as a Subaru Sambar Dias Van, c.1991 (like the one at the bottom of the page). The VW-ish conversions are made by a company based in Vancouver, Washington, called Boecki USA which specializes in these Japanese mini trucks. According to the van’s owner’s Facebook page, the YummmmTruck is “An on the Go Party Sweets & Treats Snack Truck...something for everyone to enjoy!” It certainly stands out in traffic!
