Could this 1960 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan be the very car Chevy used in some of its advertising? We’ll never know, but other than the 15-inch wheels and tires the current owner has added, today’s RealRide is a dead ringer for the car on the brochure covers (see bottom of page). The Sport Sedan featured GM’s flat top roof for the second and final year, and was a car which the Dutch brochure alluded to as “…een automobiel van grote allure, met rotende achter-ruit gedistingeerd interieur an buitengewone rijkwaliteten.” Okay, perhaps “rotating rear window” is a bit too literal of a translation, but maybe there’s no word for “wraparound” in The Netherlands. We saw this one earlier this summer at a cruise night in Alden.
