This 1958 Studebaker Scotsman has been given a few upgrades from what is largely believed by automotive enthusiasts to be one of the (if not THE) most cheapskatiest cars to be built in the late 1950s. The paint is the most obvious, with simulated side and tailgate trim from a 1956 Chevy Nomad airbrushed on. (See the Nomad and the stock Scotsman below.) While searching the internet, we came across an ad for this very car when it was offered for sale by Gateway Classic Cars of O’Fallon, Illinois. You can check it out by clicking here; and click here to see their Youtube video of the car. We came across today’s RealRide a few weeks ago at a weekly cruise night in Olean.
