This 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport is finished in a very period-looking scolor, which Ford unimaginatively named “Dark Green.” It seems that the creative budget was trimmed for MY 1972, as Ford offered 33 different paint colors with only a couple, #3F Grabber Blue and #9C Creamy White, showing any kind of a descriptive effort at all. One color, available only on the Pinto, was #5L Tan. Doesn’t get much more boring than that! Today’s RealRide was one of two body styles offered — a more formal–looking two-door hardtop as well as this two-door SportsRoof. We saw it two summers ago at the Polish Falcons Super Cruise in Depew.
