Came across this 1960 Jaguar XK 150 last month on the West Side of Buffalo. Official Jaguar advertising/sales copy called this model the Drop Head Coupe, as opposed to the Fixed Head Coupe whose top did not lower. There was also a Roadster model, with a much smaller fabric top and no rear seating area (bottom of page). Many 1960 XK 150s had Jaguar’s 3.4L inline six under the bonnet, but also available starting this year was the larger 3.8L engine from the Mark IX saloon. This was the final year for the XK 150 Jaguars, having been introduced for MY 1957 (a 2nd-gen XK 140 was sold from 1954-57, while the 1st-gen XK 120 was available from 1948-54). The all-new E-Type would replace the XK 150 in 1961.
