This 1951 DeSoto Custom wasn’t the only four-door sedan in the lineup that year. Also available was the De Luxe model which surprisingly (to me anyway) was cheaper than the Custom, and the Suburban (pictured below), a nine-passenger stretched sedan which DeSoto advertised as having “…generous luggage space inside. Top rack holds still more!” We came across today’s RealRide a few weeks ago at a classic car show in Brockport sponsored by the Brockport Area Veterans Club.
