When this 1969 Buick Electra 225 was new, the Flint manufacturer was still using the “Wouldn’t you really rather have a Buick?” line in their ads. This was a bit different from “When better automobiles are built… Buick will build them,” which dated back at least to 1913 and seems to have petered out by the late 1950s. We came across another ad for the 1990 Park Avenue, which told us “The Great American Road Belongs To Buick.” I can’t honestly remember seeing a new Buick print ad in the last decade (or two) which contained any sort of memorable advertising slogan. We saw today’s RealRide back at the 2016 Olcott Beach car Show in Olcott.
