This Flash Silver Metallic 1989 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Synchro looks ready to go anywhere. The Synchro (like every other Vanagon) was powered by VW’s 2.1L engine connected to a four-speed manual transmission. Also included with this rugged-looking package was an extra low gear, a locking differential, and automatically engaging 4-wheel-drive. If your off-roading was taking you far from home, a GL Camper Synchro was also available. We saw this one at last summer’s annual car show at St. Gabriel’s in Elma.
