This 1983 Dodge Mirada seems a little odd IMO, for two reasons. First of all, according to the window sticker we saw on the front seat, it came from the factory with Chrysler’s 225cid Slant Six under the hood — it just seems out of character here; that, and the fact that it doesn’t have some sort of a fancy top. A quick peek at the brochure shows more than one optional roof offering: a Cabriolet-Style vinyl which gave the appearance of a convertible; a T-Top with two removable panels; and the more-plebian Vinyl Landau roof — all of which can be seen below (going from top-to-bottom, respectively). As you can also see from those brochure illustrations, there were a couple of wheel options offered. Not shown are the optional wire-wheel covers (and whitewalls) which this car originally came with. Needless to say, the chrome-reverse rims w/Baby Moons seen on today’s RealRide were not a factory option. We found it this past fall at a Sunday cruise-in at the Big Indian Smoke Shop in Irving.
