Day 4 of 7 Days of Lincoln…
This 1995 Lincoln Town Car hearkened me back to a family trip to San Diego where, because there were five of us (with luggage and a car seat) we decided to rent a big car. And the Town Car was a b-i-g car. One thing the rental agent failed to mention was the automatic closing feature of the trunk lid. All you had to do was give it a gentle lowering and it would finish on its own and latch shut. Unfortunately, slamming the lid down as I was used to doing had the opposite effect — it would just bounce back up. I think I finally figured it out by the end of our four-day weekend. Ugh. This one looks to be in pretty good shape. I think it might have been for sale when we came across it a few months ago just down the street from the RealRides head offices in Tonawanda. I wouldn’t mind driving it — if it weren’t for that padded top! Ugh, again.
